Phew! I don’t think I’m the only one who’s 100 % done with 2016. When it comes to reading, this wasn’t my year. I didn’t pick up a single book for three months straight, and on top of that failed to reach my already low goal of 30 books. This slump is getting old, people!

Small disclaimer: I am in no way saying that 22 books is a low amount for everyone and reading is not a competition! 22 can be amazing for some people, but for me personally…well, I don’t think I’ve read less than 30 books since basically the year I learned to read properly.

But I’m trying not to focus on the bad things.

Let’s have a look at the pros of 2016:

1.  My friends are amazing and I love them

2. Though they were few and far between, I did read some fantastic books

3. I went to Edinburgh and Paris

4. I passed all my exams

5. I saw three of my favourite bands live

6. I’ve had time to do some artsy/creative stuff

Okay, I’m certainly feeling better already, and I hope you all have at least a few nice things to look back at, too. Come on 2017, hit me with all you’ve got! (Especially if what you got is amazing books)

Happy new year, people!

  1. I don’t think it matters how much you’ve read as long as you’re reading what you love and you’ve loved what you’ve read! It looks like you read some awesome books this year :D HAPPY NEW YEAR!
