Hello :D
So, I don’t often like movies that are based on books. It’s kind of weird, because I ALWWAYS get really excited every time I hear that a favourite book of mine will hit the big screen. Then it comes out and something is not right, which means I will be disappointed. With The Host, Vampire Academy, Divergent and Catching Fire coming up, I’m trying to think about them as movies simply based on the books, which they are. Because I totally understand that some things has to change, that the actors most likely will not please everybody and that cuts has to be made. I understand, and tries to be accepting. I don’t like to feel disappointed.
A series of books I actually think they have succeeded in making movies of, are Harry Potter, but I’m not going to talk about those :). Instead, I will tell you about….
Pride and Prejudice
As you can see, I’m refering to the one from 2005, with Keira Knightley as Elisabeth Bennet. :)
I have to confess that I did see the movie before I read the book, but I think the movie-makers did an awesome job!
The movie had, according to me, great actors, beautiful scenery and didn’t leave out any vital parts of the story :). I call that really successful.
To end this post, I thought I could show you the trailer :)
Here you go:
I watched the movie first too and loved it so much that now it inspires me to read the book. :)
