Book Haul: April-May

I only have four books to show you today, so without further ado, let’s just get straight to it. :)

First of all, I got myself a physical copy of My Lady Jane, by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows, which I read and loved last year. :)

Guys, in case you didn’t know, this book is freaking delightful and hilariously charming. I implore you to pick it up.

Then, I got Wires and Nerve, by Marissa Meyer (art by Doug Holgate).

Originally, I  wasn’t really planning on buying this one, but then I saw the illustrations and fell in love. What’s a reader supposed to do, am I right?

I ended up really liking not just the illustrations, but the whole thing, and now I’m very excited for the next one. :)

Since Patrick Ness is one of my top auto-buy authors, I also got my hands on his newest release: Release…hehe.

It ended up being a new favourite of mine (no surprise there), but it’s definitely one of those books that aren’t for everyone. If you’re looking for a wonderfully written book about a gay teen growing up in a religious home (with a few hints of magical realism), though, then I think you should give it a chance.

And last, but not least, I picked up The Dark Prophecy by Rick Riordan!

I just finished this one yesterday, and while I didn’t love it quite as much as for example The Hammer of Thor, I still really really liked it. Apollo is everything.

And that was all! :) Have you read any of these books, and if so, what did you think of them? Feel free to tell me about it down in the comments. :)
