My Bookish 10: Top 10 Pets

Hi :)

If you remember, back in November, I said I was going to start doing top 10 lists whenever I felt like doing something a bit more quick and fun.

Yeah, it was quite a while since I actually did that, but anyway, here we go:

(Oh, and they’re actually in order this time!)

10 Literary Pets That Really Should be Mine

(Please give them to me)

10. Hopper the Callistana

The Bloodlines-series by Richelle Mead

To be completely honest, I’m not entirely sure what Hopper the Callistana is good for. I think he’s supposed to warn you in case of danger, but other than that he’s just a pocket-sized little dragon….and I’m completely fine with that. ;)

9. Chainsaw

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

I want my own baby raven.

8. Hedwig

Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling

Magic owl that can deliver my mail? Yes pleASE.

(Especially since some of my friends are living in the middle ages and refuse to answer their damn phones)

7. Dire wolf

A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin

Since I haven’t read any of the books I guess this could be considered cheating, but anyway….I want a dire wolf.

They’re loyal, adorable, and deadly….what not to like?

6. Fawkes

Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling

First of all, beautiful, fiery, and magical bird.

Second of all, healing tears.

Yeah.

5. Buckbeak

Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling

Have I mentioned MAGICAL, yet?

I’m going to say it again: magical.

Magical.

Magical.

Flying magical creature.

I rest my case.

4. Manchee

Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness

Man, I love Manchee. Yes he can be a little bit annoying, and it is true that dogs don’t got nothing much to say, but I just love him.

3. Mrs O’leary

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan

A giant, lethal, but goofy dog that can transport you to different places not to mention HELL.

Um, yes, thank you very much.

Mrs. O'Leary

2. Blackjack

PJO and HoO by Rick Riordan

Aw, Blackjack. My mate! Bro! Brotha! You are one cool pony. Please be my best friend forever.

The Mark of Athena 2

1. Bovril

Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld

How can you not love Bovril? Honestly?

1. He’s super cute

2. He’s perspicacious

3. He’s a damn good listener

4. We really don’t need any more reasons

5. Please give me Bovril
