My Thoughts on: The Divergent Cast

Hello :)

A couple of days ago, I told you about how I loved the Maze Runner cast because I wasn’t that attached to the book. Well, that is not the case when it comes to the Divergent cast…

Before you say anything, I know it’s impossible to make everyone happy. How the actors look isn’t what matters, it’s their acting skills. I agree 100% with this…but because I love this book so muchs, I can’t help but to feel a bit disappointed. I don’t know how good most of these actors are, so all I have to go on, is how they look. And let me tell you one thing: Theo James does not look like a teenager.

I know this is old news, but the whole thing makes me feel worried. I need this movie to be great. I want to feel like I can trust the movie industry with my favourite stories again. I want other people to understand what an outstanding book this is. I want everything to be amazing.

Some of these actors I think are perfect. Kate Winslet, Maggie Q and Zoë Kravitz, for example. I’m not going to go too deeply into which actors I’m unhappy with, but let’s just say I am. I really hope they end up being awesome and then I will gladly admit that I was wrong. And in the meantime, I will try not to have any preconceptions about the movie and just try to enjoy the fact that this incredible book will enter the big screen :).

What do you think about the cast? How do you feel about the fact that they cut Uriah from the first film? (I’m kind of confused about how they will manage to get that together)
